I don't agree with the writer.
I have 4 reasons.
1. I don't think "the education system doesn’t spend enough time teaching Japanese.”
I had "朝読書"(reading a book before the class starts) in my elementary school, junior high school and high school. So, we could read books even if it was just 5~10minutes. I think it was a good system!!!
2. I agree with Motoyuki Shibata.
I think we have good opportunity more than before thanks to new technology such as E-mail, blog etc... Even if it's on computers or cellular phone, we can put our opinion down in writing. Also, I think a list of characters to choose from pops up on the screen help us to study Japanese. We can study Japanese during the checking the differences process.
3. We can read novels everywhere thanks to new keitai shosetsu. The fact remains that keitai shosetsu is novels!!!
4. I think the education system teaching English in Japan is not so good. Because, Japanese who are high-school-educated can study English at least 6 years. However, most of them are not so good at English. So, I think the teaching English system needs to be reconsidered.

Men and Women
Do you agree or disagree with the author (who is Japanese).
I agree with the author.
Because, women are really interested in romance more than men.
Women really like romantic situations, love prediction and so on.
So, I think women is obviously more passionate than men.
Men may not be able to go along with them...haha
Therefor, I wonder if women's passion become a burden for men.
But!! I think it is far better to get passionate than deal with just for fun.
Moreover, men's thinking may be influenced by today's depression.
The phrase "I have to buy them gifts and that would cost money" actually show the cut of salary. But, women are very happy even if the present is not expensive.
So, when men have positive way of thinking, we may be able to escape glacial times!!

Table Manners
1.Have you ever eaten in a restaurant in a foreign country? Where? What did you eat? Did you make any mistakes? Please explain your experience.
I've never eaten in a restaurant in a foreign country, so I would like to write about my experience in a Italian restaurant in Japan.
I made some mistakes...
I mistook the way of using spoon. When we eat soup, we have to scoop up with a spoon from the front. But, I did reversely... So, I was pointed out the mistake by my mother.
Also, I was using my napkin wrong side out...This mistake is scatterbrained rather than bad table manner.haha
It's difficult to try anything new!!!
2. Did you learn anything?
I learned table manners are very important to enjoy meal!!!
Bad manners make people feel bad. Meanwhile, good manners make people feel more HAPPY☆ So, I have to understand each of countries' table manners.
Anyway, I watched on TV about to make noise when we eat buckwheat noodles.
That TV program said it's in order to enhance flavor of buckwheat by breathe the air.
I think it's similar to the case of wine. Of course, we don't make noise when we drink wine, but it's because we move wine all around our wine .

Weddings
1.Since Japanese weddings are expensive, do you think having a massive wedding like Korea or UAE is a good idea? Why?
Yes, I think it's a good idea.
Because, the bigger the ceremony is, the more expensive it is in Japan.
If we can invite a lot of people, we can be blessed by a lot of people.
Also, a lot of people can get happy feelings.
2. What do you think about eloping? Is it a good idea or romantic? Why?
I think eloping is not good.
On TV dramas, it's depicted as romantic episodes. Certainly, eloping may be a proof of their deep love. They may not want anything but to be with their lovers.
However, it's difficult to live without cooperation. I think family is the best supporter. I want to believe LOVE can move parents' hearts!!!
3. Have you ever thought about having a wedding in a foreign location like Hawaii? Would you do it? Why?Or Why not?
Yes, I have.
I yearn for a wedding in a foreign location☆
However, I'll not do it. Because, it's very expensive... And, I think it's difficult to organize.
After all, I LOVE JAPAN!!!haha
4.What is your ideal wedding?
My ideal wedding is hold a ceremony in a restaurant with atmosphere.
I want to have a buffet party, and want to make a original wedding cake!! Of course, I want to wear a fashionable white wedding dress♪” Even if it's a small ceremony, it makes me very happy☆★
5.What would you definitely do, wear or go to on that big day? Why is that important?
I would read a letter to my parents & friends on a ceremony.
I can't express thanks to their face for shame. So, I would like to use this good opportunity to say"Thank you!!!!!"
6. Have you ever been to a foreigner's wedding? What was your impression?
No, I've never been to there.
By the way, I want to go to a Spanish wedding!! Because, they march down the street. At first, performers march down, and a couple and guests follow them.
This is a cartoon film of Spanish wedding. Please check it out♪→

Superstitions
Which part surprised you the most?
I surprised about ornaments for Christmas trees.
Because, they decorate foods on Christmas trees.
I've never seen such trees in Japan. I feel anew Japan is humid!!
But, I want to try to decorate foods on Christmas trees♪”
What kind of Danish food do you want to try?
I want to try to eat "open sandwiches"!!
I think it's OPEN as its name suggests.
It's also interesting because they use not normal breads, but rye breads.
Anyway, I LOVE sandwiches very much!!!
So, I really want to try to eat them!!
1.Do you think it is important to talk about superstitions in cross culture communication class? Why?
Yes, I do.
I think we can compare each countries' culture.
Because, superstitions express their sense of values, I think.
2.Is communication affected by superstitions?
Yes, it's.
Because, Japanese people believe judgement of someone's character by blood types.
I think most of Japanese think of them when we talk with someone.
Also, we may change attitudes by their blood types.
I'm a one of them...
This Example may not be superstition, but I think it is kind of superstition.
3.Do you believe in superstitions?
Yes, I do. Especially "mixing"
For example, "If we eat tempura and watermelons at the same time, we'll have our stomach hurt." It means "Don't eat oily foods and water at the same time."
I really believe, because I have experienced....haha

TIME
1. Please explain a time proverb in your culture.
There are a lot of TIME proverbs in Japan.
I think it is because TIME is very important, and most of them show the brevity of life.
Examples...
一朝一夕
A short time like one morning and night.
寸陰を惜しむ
To value even a short time.
2. What do the following proverbs mean:
a) Time is money.
TIME is precious just like MONEY.
So, we don't have to waste time.
We cannot get back the time we've lost, so I think we don't have to wast even a short time.
b) A stitch in time saves nine.
Longtime effrt go to waste by minor complications at the very end.
I have to stay sharp!!haha
c) There's no time like the present.
Once youVe made up your mine, you should move into action just now.
I'm indecisive...So, I keep in mind this proverb!!
d) Let's meet at 4. If I'm not there by 5, leave without me at 6, and I'll be there at 7.
I don't know the meaning, but does it mean "It's a waste of time"???
Please tell me!!!
