Death and Funerals

Where do you go when you die?
I think we will go to the new world beyond the sky!!
But, it's not the universe. It's a PURE world.
We can meet our family, friends and new people.
It's a completely new world, so there are no brutal conflict and so on...
We can enjoy new life there, I think.

Explain why do Japanese have death memorial services 1 month, 1 year, 3 years, 7 years, etc. after a person's death?
Because we tell the dead people that you are in our mind forever and show gratitude, I think.
They might feel lonly and sad as well as us.
So, we have to tell them periodically.

    So would you call this "pure world" heaven? 楽園, where our spirits (but not our bodies) live after death? Or is it another type of physical world, much like the one we live in now, but better? Anyway, I like your vision of a place with no conflict.

    Also I agree that it's very nice to tell one's ancestors they are still remembered after they pass away. If I were dead, I would want someone to tell me "thank you" sometimes, or I would be lonely.

    My opinions are different from yours. I think when i die, my spirits will be born again.
    But I think it is good to meet my loves after I die.
    And PURE WORLD is interesting opinion for me. Do you mean that there are not any sufferings and struggles?
