Greetings
1. How do you greet members of your family?
I do not have big differences.
I just say "Ohayou" or "Oyasumi" etc.
Of course, I never bow to them.
2. How do you greet people that are important in society?
I just bow to them and not to say anything.
If they say me something, I will reply.
3. Do you greet people from the opposite sex in a different way?
No, I do not.
I will do the same way.
4. Do you hug anyone?
I do when I meet friends again after a long time.
So, I never do for strangers and my family.

World Religion
I nod or wave to person in greeting.
I nod to older people and wave to close people because waving to older people is impolite and too familiar.
And also, I sometimes touch people. However, it is only for close people when I agree with them or request agreement. It has not special reason. I involuntary do that.

How is your daily life affected by Buddhism?
I give five examples here.
1. We offer the first things of the season at the altar.
‐It is because to thank the crops.
2. We never wear Kimono with its left side okumi is under the right side.
‐This style is for burial clothes.
3. Some people worship the Buddha every morning and evening.
‐In the morning, we pray that we hope to spend an ordinary day. In the evening we express to Buddha my gratitude of the day. My grandfather does it every day.
4. We put an eggplant and cucumber with legs which made by the disposable wooden chopsticks in the Bon festival.
‐The eggplant is a cow, and the cucumber is a horse. It is the means for Buddha to come back our house.
5. We sprinkle our body with salt after a Buddhist service for the dead.
‐It is because to cleanse our body,

"Sour Strawberries"

Last month at Ben's Cafe in Tokyo, people discussed about the plight of foreign "trainees" in Japan at the screening of a German-Japanese collaboration, the documentary film "Sour Strawberries."The night's event started by human-rights activist Debito Arudou.The story of this film is that two people of Japanese descent, who would be working as actuall unskilled laborers. In the climax, Chinese trainees who sought help from a labor union are forcibly sent back to thire countries.The movie is heavy theme, but many participants said they enjoyed. A teacher said she wants to use the film for her class. Meanwhile, a documentary filmmaker from Australia, said he is thinking of making a movie on illegal immigrants in Japan and refers to the recent case, the Filipino couple was deported, but their Japan-born daughter was permitted to stay.
