"Sour Strawberries"

It is the summary.

Last month at Ben's Cafe in Tokyo, people discussed about the plight of foreign "trainees" in Japan at the screening of a German-Japanese collaboration, the documentary film "Sour Strawberries."The night's event started by human-rights activist Debito Arudou.The story of this film is that two people of Japanese descent, who would be working as actuall unskilled laborers. In the climax, Chinese trainees who sought help from a labor union are forcibly sent back to thire countries.The movie is heavy theme, but many participants said they enjoyed. A teacher said she wants to use the film for her class. Meanwhile, a documentary filmmaker from Australia, said he is thinking of making a movie on illegal immigrants in Japan and refers to the recent case, the Filipino couple was deported, but their Japan-born daughter was permitted to stay.
